Girls love to look their best whenever and wherever, life could have been perfect if not for pimples. There will come a time where acne comes up just when you try to look your best. Having them is natural, but keeping them is not! Good thing there are quick home remedies on fighting acne.

1. Lemon Juice

Vitamin C which is found in lemons may help you against infections which includes acne. It has citric acid which fights the main cause of acne. Lemon also has special properties which helps in drying out the blemish when applied. The stinging sensation is a sign that the lemon works. Just make sure you use sunblock before going out in the sun because lemon makes the skin more sensitive to the sun. It is recommended to use this treatment at night.

2. Baking Soda

Baking soda which is quite a staple in our kitchens can be our best pimple fighting buddy as well. Simply mix equal parts of water and baking soda to make a paste. Put the paste on the acne using q-tips and leave it until dry. Use cold water to wash off the hardened paste and to close your pore as well. You can do this twice a day until the acne is completely dried up.

3. Witch Hazel

Dab a cotton soaked with witch hazel and hold press against the blemish for about a minute or two for full skin absorption. Witch hazel can work as an astringent when used on pimples.

4. Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil is known to target pimples. it’s a known alternative to commercial pimple products because it doesn’t just disinfect but it also soothes pimples when applied. This herbal remedy is perfect for mild to moderate conditions. It’s as effective as other treatments like benzoyl peroxide, only safer because it has less possible side effects.

 5. Tomatoes

Fresh tomato juice are natural astringents. They are high in antioxidants that can treat acne as well as possibly heal acne scars. Using this as a face mask is fine but may cause dryness. For pimples simply use the juice to do a spot treatment for once or twice a day. Using the pure tomato juice is optional but not recommended if will be used as a face mask.

6. Garlic

Garlic might stink but it is has fantastic anti-microbial and healing properties that will be helpful in acne treatment. It is a wonder cure in clearing up acne, simply get a clove of garlic, mash and apply on the affected area. Leave on for 20 minutes or as long as you want if you will apply it at night.

7. Honey

Best when done at night, honey treatment works like a treat for extra large pimples. Simply cover affected area with a bandage and have a good night sleep. This will remove the oil from your acne and size will visibly reduce in the morning.

8. Egg

This morning yummy treat can also be used as a facial mask. This is an awesome weekly face treat but might be a bit of waste if you need to treat the acne for a few consecutive days. You will only need a dab of the egg white. Just separate the yellow from the white of the egg and dab on your acne using a q-tip. Again this can be an overnight treatment as well. Adding in lemon juice, letting it dry before using the egg white will boost the effect.

9. Mustard

Mustard though a bit different can also cure pimples. Mustard is full of natural salicylic acid which is known to be a good pimple fighting ingredient. Besides salicylic acid it also contains vitamin C, omega 3 and other elements that are good for the skin.

Like other inclusions in the list this is also okay to be used as a facial mask but due to the drying effects it’s more recommended as a spot treatment.

10. Apple Cider Vinegar

Old home remedy not just for pimples but open pores as well. Just leave it on the affected area and let it dry for 20 minutes or so. This should be diluted in water before usage because the effect will be too strong for the face. Once or twice application will be fine and effective already. There is no need to rinse off ACV unless you feel like it’s needed. Apple Cider Vinegar can also be used in place of water to set clay masks.
