It is not a secret that alcoholic drinks are full of calories. Holiday favorites like eggnog is even worst. Cut the calorie intake by alternating your drink with water or seltzer.

9. Skip the appetizers.

Skip the appetizers and turn on little snacks like veggies, fruits or nuts before the meal.

10. Limit the selection of food variety.

Put two items on your plate when you go to the buffet table. By limiting yourself to a few items each time you will make it easier to control your appetite. You can return as many times as you like, just remember to stick to the rules.
