Tips to Avoid Hair Loss in Women

Massage your scalp frequently

Regular massaging the scalp for a few minutes every day with lukewarm oil will lead to stimulation of blood flow to the scalp. This stimulates blood circulation in the scalp and it also promotes hair growth. Hot oil treatments are one of the best answers to address the problem of hair fall. You can go for a hot oil massage and turban therapy to control hair fall. Make sure the oil is not too hot otherwise it will cause more harm than good.

Use mild shampoo

You should wash your hair at least thrice in a week with a mild hair cleanser or shampoo to remove all dust, dirt, oil and bacterial build up. Keep it clean at all times to avoid hair fall due to unclean scalp and infections. This is a necessary step to follow as an answer to how to prevent hair fall. Try to switch to shampoos that are sulfate, silicone and paraben-free to avoid loading the scalp and hair with harsh chemicals that damage hair, making it brittle and more prone to breakage.

Apply natural fruit juices

You can rub your scalp with either garlic juice, onion juice or ginger juice. Leave it on overnight and wash it thoroughly in the morning.

Take vitamins A and C

Take vitamin A in moderation as excess vitamin A can even lead to hair loss. Vitamin C improves absorption of iron. Vitamins help in producing sebum which is the oily substance that is secreted by our hair follicles to prevent hair from breaking off.

Use Antioxidants

Apply warm green tea on your scalp and leave this mixture on for an hour and then rinse. Green tea contains antioxidants which prevent hair loss and boost hair growth.
